What is the Family4Life Affiliate Program?
Our Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring customers to our Web site. You do this by placing links on your site. Every time you refer a new customer to your unique, secure Family4Life Shopping Cart and that customer makes a purchase, you earn a commission.

Why should I join?
There are many reasons to join:
• You'll work with the best — Family4Life is the exclusive manufacturer of the Original LaborGear Bag, and one of the most popular and trusted Web sites for new and expectant parents.
• Becoming an Affiliate is free, and you'll make money with very little effort.
• You can add value to the content of your site.
• We take the customer order and handle all payments. All you do is cash the check!

Does it cost anything to become an Affiliate?
Joining our Affiliate Program is absolutely free. There's no charge to apply and no minimum sales requirement.

Can a Web site outside the United States become an Affiliate?
Yes. We welcome Affiliates from anywhere in the world and ship our products to anywhere in the world, or wherever UPS, USPS, or FedEX can deliver!  However, customers who buy from our site must pay in U.S. dollars. All commission payment checks to Affiliates are in U.S. dollars.  Affiliate Partners located outside the US will pay any shipping cost associated with sending payments to international locations.

I operate more than one Web site. Can I still be an Affiliate?
Yes. Affiliates can have multiple sites. You can have one Affiliate account with us that includes all of your sites. You can track the progress of each of your sites separately and be paid with only one commission check.

How do I sign up?
First, you'll need to read and accept our Affiliate Agreement. Then you'll need to complete our online application form. After your application is submitted, we'll contact you to let you know if you've been accepted as an Affiliate. If you're accepted, we'll provide you with information on how to get started.

How does the program work?
Our Affiliate Program allows you to make money by referring customers to our Web site. You do this by placing links on your site. In every quarter that you've earned more than $25, we send you a check. (If you earned less than $25, whatever you earned rolls over to the next quarter.) It's that easy!

Is my Web site eligible to become an Affiliate?
Most sites will qualify to participate in the program. Anyone may submit an application, but we  reserve the right to refuse membership to a site or revoke a site's membership at any time if we deem that it contains objectionable material.

What are my responsibilities an as Affiliate?
The only thing you're responsible for is using the URL to your unique, secure Family4Life Shopping Cart that we will send to you via email to create and place links on your site. We handle everything else.

What are your responsibilities?
We'll provide you with the tools (buttons, banners, and other links) and support you need to maximize sales through your site by e-mailing you regularly about store promotions and new products. We also handle orders, shipping, and billing for all customers you refer to us.

I don't have a Web site yet. Can I still apply?
Unfortunately, no. In order for us to accept you as an Affiliate, we must be able to view your Web site.

What if I operate more than one Web site?
You can have multiple sites under one Affiliate account. We prefer to have each site link directly to your unique, secure Family4Life Shopping Cart.  But, we will consider building multiple pages on a case-by-case basis.  You'll receive one commission check for all sites.

Can I participate in other Affiliate programs?
Yes.

How do I change my account information?
Once you've been accepted as an Affiliate, you'll be given access to your unique, secure URL Affiliate Reporting Page. Your account information can be modified by contacting us from this page.

Will becoming an Affiliate increase traffic to my site?
Our Affiliate Program is a revenue-sharing program. It's not designed to help you increase traffic to your site; however, it does enhance your site with content, so your user return rate may go up.

Setting Up Links

How do I create links?
Upon approval, we will send you an email with your account information, the URL to your Family4Life Shopping Cart Page, and the URL to your Affiliate Reporting Page.  This way you do not have to create any additional Web pages on your site or take up server storage space.  We'll also refer you to our Links page so that you can copy/paste the banner of your choice.  Simply place these banners in your website and use the unique, secure URL for your affiliate account referring customers to your Family4Life Shopping Cart Page.  It's that easy.

Where should I place the links on my site?
You should place them where they're easy for visitors to find. This makes it more likely that they'll click through to your Family4Life Shopping Cart Page and make a purchase. For example, you may want to consider placing links on your home page, your navigation bar, or other high-traffic areas.

How often should I update my links?
We update your Family4Life Shopping Cart Page with new products, promotions, discounts, and specials automatically.  You will only need to update your links if we change the file path to your URL...which we would rather not have to do since it would require a great deal of time on our part!  So the short answer here is, "not very often, if at all." 

Can I use your content on my site?
No. The Affiliate Program only allows sites to link to our store. You're welcome to link to our content areas, too, but visitors who click on those links cannot be tracked and you won't earn commissions on their store purchases.

Tracking, Payment, and Reporting

How much can I earn?
We can't predict how much you'll earn from our Affiliate Program. Your earnings depend on your Web site and your visitors.

How do I know how much commission I've earned?
By visiting your Affiliate Reporting Page, you can access reports that provide information on impressions, orders, shipments, and commissions earned. These reports are updated daily.

How often do I get paid?
We'll send you a check reflecting the orders from new customers you referred to our site every quarter, provided you earned more than $25. (If you earned less than $25, whatever you earned rolls over to the next quarter.)

Do I earn commissions on my own purchases?
Yes. When you buy products from us through your Family4Life Shopping Cart Page, you earn the same commission on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase.

What about product returns?
If a customer returns a product for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed as the result of a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction.

How can I monitor my sales?
You can monitor your sales by accessing reports as often as you like by visiting your Affiliate Reporting Page.

Who processes orders and handles customer service?
We do all of that for the customers you refer to our site. All you have to do is place links on your site. We do the rest!

How will you know that the orders came from my site?
All links from your site go directly to your unique, secure URL.  For example, your URL may look like this:  https://ssl18.vds2000.com/family4life/Affiliate_Program/yourname/yourpage.htm. This unique, secure URL automatically associates all orders to your account and enables us to credit you when a visitor who comes to us via your site makes a purchase. This is only possible, though, if you create all your links with the URL that we give you.

How often can I view reports?
As often as you like. Your Affiliate Reporting Page is available 24/7, 365 days a year and is updated daily with the latest information about your site.  Click here to see a sample.

I operate more than one Web site. Can you track my sites separately but pay me with one commission check?
Yes. To set up an account with multiple sites, please contact us at affiliates@family4life.com with the names and we will send you a unique, secure URL for each of the additional sites.

What happens if I terminate my Affiliate membership? Will I be paid for my earnings if they don't surpass your payment threshold?
Yes, but you must notify us of your request so that we can manually include your payment with those generated automatically at the end of the quarter. Send the name of your site, ID, and commissions you're owed to affiliates@family4life.com.
