She Called Me Daddy!
I was sitting at my favorite BBQ place for lunch with my wife (Lina) and 5-month old (Molly),
when I received the greatest honor of all time.
Lina
and I had often wondered if Molly would say "Dada" before she
said "Momma," and, if so, would she really know that she was
saying it? Well, this discussion came up this very day at
lunch. So, I looked at my precious 5-month old and said,
"Molly, can you say 'Dada?'" Molly, sitting
so comfortably in her mommy's arms, looked at me and said "Da-da-da-da-da."
My
wife and I looked at each other with surprise and excitement. I asked again,
"Molly, can you say 'Dada?'" And, again, Molly said "Da-da-da-da-da."
Okay, once more for good measure, and just to be sure everyone hears
this...and yup! she said it again! She called me "Dada"
and knew she was saying it! I knew it then...I was hooked! I'm a
"daddy4life!"
