Little Ways to Give a Big Boost to Your Love Life

  • Make rest a priority.
    Take a nap whenever you can; let the answering machine pick up; put the clean socks in the drawers unmatched; say no when the preschool calls once again to ask you about organizing the bake sale — just make cookies. It's far more important to save your energy for intimacy than to vacuum the family room.
  • Work in time to work out.
    A ten-minute walk in the morning and again after dinner will clear your head and increase your energy. It will also make you feel better about yourself, so you'll believe your husband when he says he can't keep his hands off you.
  • Get away from the kids.
    Babysitters can be expensive, but they're worth every dime if they give you and your mate a chance to focus on each other. Or swap babysitting services with a friend. You don't have to head to a fancy restaurant or drink a bottle of wine. Sometimes just taking a long walk alone together is an ample aphrodisiac.
  • Just do it.
    When sex is the last thing on your mind, it may be the very thing your body and soul are hungry for. And you'll never know it if you don't give it a try.
